Cant install windows 8 on macbook pro 13 inch mid2010

Cant install windows 8 on macbook pro 13 inch mid2010 Mountain lion 10.8.3. When i insert the windows 8 CD and try to install it on bootcamp Version 5.0.2 it say "Windows 8 is not supported on this Mac, Boot Camp only supports installing Windows 7 on this Mac. Please insert a DVD which contains a full version of Windows 7." i saw other topics using same mac and they installed it.

Please need help 😕

Your computer is not supported for Windows 8. Read the System Requirements here http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5634. In case you missed the table of supported systems I'll repeat it below. Please note that your computer is listed as not supported.

its wierd thought the MacBook Pro (15-inch, Mid 2010) work with it but MacBook Pro (13-inch, Mid 2010) they have the same spec?! 😕

They do not have the same specification. Your machine has an Intel Core2Duo processor, the 15" has an i5 or i7.

I was able to get windows 8 on my computer however, I upgraded from windows 7 and didn't do a clean install. The only issue I have is that I still can't figure out how to get the trackpad to work. If I use parallels to run windows, the trackpad works fine (using the mac drivers). If I boot up windows 8 through bootcamp, I need a mouse to use the pointer. either way, take your time. I'm not that impressed with windows 8. Better off sticking with win7 until microsoft releases a few more service packs.
