Q: Does the apple remote control works with an iPhone 5 plugged in a universal dock?

Hello,

I was wondering if the old universal dock, which is sold with a remote control, well works with the new iPod and iPhone if they are plugged in the universal dock with the adaptor ? And more especially I wanna know if the remote control will still work with those products ? I find it really convenient but before changing my iPod it's important for me to know this ( I prefer an old one which works with the remote than a more recent one if it does not ).
