What movie format does iMac support?

How can I watch a movie format in Real Media on my iMac? I tried Windows Media and that did not work on my iMac either.

I downloaded a software to convert the Windows Media, but there was no audio.

iMac, iOS 6.1.4, My Mac is OS X 10.7.5

The files are wmv and also rm. So I quit trying to get the rm file to work. (The Flip4MAC did not give me sound for either one)

Tonight I downloaded VLC and tried to get it to convert the wmv file. It did, but the sound is not there. I can't figure out why it didn't convert the audio.

The file name is 5_27_2013_hi_vid.wmv

Well, I downloaded the free version from the link you sent. I did not upgrade for $. The wmv file plays, but without audio.

So I saw another option someone suggested, called iSkysoft Video Converter. I downloaded it. It converted the wmv movie and plays it on Quick Time, WITH AUDIO. However, this one is not free. But I guess to get sound, I have to pay something 😉

I'm glad you're out there and appreciate the help. I'm a fairly new Apple convert, so I need all the help I can get.

Thankful,
