I have a Mac OS X V 10.6.8 and I just updated Java to Java 6 SE Update 15. I have Safari 5.1.9. After the update, pages like Facebook wont load. Help me please.

Just as I said,
I just update Java and Facebook refuses work properly

I get the top toolbar but nothing pops up when I click on it so I can't do anything.

Same with some other websites where dropdown menus doesn't work

However if I open it with another browser, the page loads perfectly.

I want to keep using Safari but I'm at my wit's end right now.

I'm using a MacBook Pro if that helps

Safari hasn't been updated on 10.6.8, it's advised to keep using the other browser.

Only 10.7+ gets Safari 6 and 10.7+ will hobble older machines and not run older PPC based software.

10.6 is still ok though, still getting updates as it's a sizable chunk of the market still.

Firefox 21 is extremely fast now even faster if you employ the broadband tweaks.
