Surround mp3 in iTunes Store

Hi guys, I would like to know if the iTunes Store supports surround mp3 files and if there's any way to sell 5.1 albums on iTunes. All I could find on the subject is this article from 2009 http://www.wired.com/gadgetlab/2009/01/fraunhofer-appl/ but for me that's where the trail of crumbs stops.

I'm currently producing a surround album and I would like to know if it's possible to sell it in iTunes of if I have to set up my own thing elsewhere.
