I inadvertantly removed my download stack from my dock. It disappeared in a puff of smoke. Now, I am having trouble moving the SDownloads folder to the the Dock as a replacement. ANy help would be appreciated.

What is the SDownloads folder (a typo maybe?)

It was a typo. And, I have managed to restore the folder to my Dock....but not the Icon. I can live with that. Thanks for wanting to help.

Did you place the folder at the righthand end of the Dock (right of the divider?)

Yeah. My problem had been in just dragging it to the dock and not to that particular position on the dock.

I don't understand what ths means "I have managed to restore the folder to my Dock....but not the Icon"

If the folder is on the dock but has no icon how do you access it?

Or do you mean that the icon is different now you have replaced it? (The dock contains aliases, not actual folders) No icon = no functionality

OK> There is an Icon for the downloads stack. It does not appear. Now, what appears is three pages with te upper right corener turned down. It appears that the pages are the informational pages about the download stack. I really can't recall whether or not the stack Icon was there before....or the pages. THis was not something that concerned me gratly. SO, my comment was merely an observation that what appeared was not the Icon for the stack as shown in the informational document about downloads. I do have funcitionality. So, no problem.

    OK.

But check the settings for the dock alias anyhow.
