trying to install FCS2 onto a macbook pro running 10.8.2

I know there are threads regarding similiar situations but without 10 hours to read them all, I thought I would just ask..

I have a fairly new macbook pro running 10.8.2, trying to install FCS2 from install cd...I am getting the PowerPC no longer supported message...I do not have a way to downgrade my operating system..

Is there any other solution?

Look for the thread where someone talks about using Terminal to do the install.

Use Pacifist to install it:

Or read Jeremy Johnstone's blogpost about using Terminal to install it (I personally think that Pacifist is easier...):
