My iphone 5 won't back up to my itunes giving me "can't backup because an error occured" message and won't connect to the bluetooth in my car anymore. This happened suddenly and without explanation. Any ideas why or how to fix?

Try restarting your iPhone by holding down the on/off and the home buttons at the same time until you see the Apple logo.
I've already restarted my phone, my computer, removed all other USB cables and restarted. I've also tried pairing the bluetooth after restarting my phone. Nothing has helped. I've updated my itunes also. I've noticed others having a similar problem and was hoping for a more in depth fix than restarting my phone.

I made an appointment with the genius bar and they couldn't figure out the problem either. The guy that helped me said he hadn't seen the problem before and (as ChrisJ4203 commented) the two errors were not related. Apple gave me a new phone. I haven't had any problems with the new phone. I hope that helps.
I have exactly the same problem. Phone will no longer stay connected to bluetooth in the car, and I can't back it up. Unfortunately for me I don't have a backup and a lot of stuff on the phone. I just get 'itunes could not backup the iphone 'my iphone' because an error occurred." 😟
Has anyone been able to find a solution to this problem? I'm having the exact same two issues - simultaneously - and am looking for any possible fix.
