How can I limit access on my SMB shared folders?

I am using the app "Goodplayer" to access shared folders on my Macbook Pro running OS X 10.8.3 through the SMB option in "Sharing" under System Preferences. However, when I access my SMB server through the app, not only does my shared folder pop up but so does everything else on my hard drive, essentially making it viewable to anyone who I grant access to my SMB sharing. I plan on sharing a couple of digitially transferred through my SMB shared folder with some other users on the network, but I want to make sure that everything else is off limits. How can I limit access to all the other folders BUT the ones I want shared through SMB?

MacBook Pro, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.1)
