iTunes update corrupt. Will not update

I downloaded the update for iTunes 11.0.3, when I try to open it I get this message:" this copy of iTunes is corrupted or is not installed correctly. Please reinstall iTunes."

I have tried downloading from app store and directly from apple. It says the same thing.

I do not know what to do!! Please help!
