Restoring a system with Time Machine. (Weird problems)

Hello all,

Basically, when I connect to the a Time Capsule partition (or account / drive) it will connect and show files, including a disk image of the Time Machine backups which I can access and copy manually.

BUT

When connecting through the 'Enter Time Machine' button it will try to connect for a while then return the error code -6584.

AND

When connecting through the 'restore from time machine' option in Recovery Mode, I will enter my username and password for the system, then press OK, and nothing will happen. When trying to change my password in that same window, the computer says that it cannot find the backup volume or whatever.

Really weird problem. I hope that someone will have an idea.
