Still using 10.5.8 have no other choice right now. Just noticed when I load The news Times the local newspaper safari hangs ball keeps going around then crashes out. It seems its just that newspaper ! Very odd any ideas??

Okay did that but is there anyway to fix safari or perhaps its the newspapers website???
I doubt there's a way to "fix" Safari, other than usinga later version, which you can't do because 10.5.8 is as high as your Mac can go, but...
Open Console in Utilities & see if there are any clues or repeating messages when this happens.
Also in Console look for the Safari Ceash Log.
I did see the Crash log listed but I could not acess it as it says I do not have permission to do so??? On my own computer?
Are you running in an admin account?
No not that I know off. went to safar app clicked on info. Said I had complete access. I unlocked the lock but still no go on console. Also when I went back to the info page everything was locked. But admin said ..Read--write priviliges, but it was locked had to unlock it. Got me whats going on. Is it a Kernel issue??
It normally requires an admin PW to unlock it, might try this...
To find out if it's system wide or user specific, try this...
Open System Preferences>Accounts, unlock the lock, click on the little plus icon, make a new admin account, log out & into the new account.

I have two other user accounts so I logged into them. Still no luck. Or do you feel I need to create a whole new one. Its odd because it only happens with specific internet newspapers
Generally a new admin is needed to insure certain things, but it doesn't sound useful in this circumstance any more.

Actually the newspaper did not crash today??
anyways its www.newstimes.com also it happened with www.ctpost.com..... Hearst newspapers. Could it be the Modem. Seems okay for now I'll see...Also did install tenforfox 7450 just to have. Is that more secure than Safari now since there are no more updates for safari 5.0.6.

Yes TFF is far more secure/modern/updated than Safari.
Turns out the problem was PLUG INS.. I unchecked that in Safari preferences and it works fine.
