May 31, 2013 9:11 AM in response to J.B.Kby Kilgore-Trout,That will depend somewhat on the mail service you are using, but typically:
- You can choose the behavior of the delete function in Settings for a given account: Settings App > Mail,Contacts,Calendars > [Account] > Aadvanced > Deleted Mailbox. What mailboxes are available will depend on the mail servicve, but typucally you should be able to select from Trash, Archive, and a few others. It is worth noting that usually, the Trash folder is the onlyone that allows mass deletes.
- You can always deletre items in the Archive folder individually.
- The above is based on gmail settings. for a different service, you may find slightly different settings and options (I also use iCloud for example, and it is a bit more simple). You may want to see if your provider offers any online support or KBs for settings up mail on iOS.
