computer does not detect DVD and won't eject

My iBook G4 does not detect DVD and won't eject. It made a strange noise when inserted. How might I remove DVD? Thanks for any help.

Thank you so much. I had to try several times, but the cardboard trick finally worked. There must be something wrong with the drive. It kept making funny sounds when trying to eject. It's probaly time for a new computer anyway. This is 7 years old and is not compatible with a lot of new programs and downloads.
