Nano 6th gen isn't responding right?

Hey!I have an iPod Nano 6th generation and maybe about 4 months ago it stopped working properly out of no where o_o It eventually came up to a pure white screen after awhile, so I tried resetting it and that didn't do much. Now when I press the power button, it turns on and goes to the menu. When i try to scroll, it shows no movement. But when I turn the display off then back on it registered the move. Is there anyway to fix this without sending it in somewhere? I hate carrying my Touch while skateboarding -.-

Hey Brendito4202,

Thanks for the question, and welcome to Apple Support Communities.

I found the following article that provides troubleshooting steps for both of the symptoms you listed. It is important to note that we may want to restore your iPod in disk mode to completely isolate this issue (determine if it is hardware related).
