May 31, 2013 10:56 PM in response to macbassetaerieby léonie,Did you install the latest Digital Camera RAW Compatibility Update 4.06 yesterday? And then Aperture recognized your raw and now no longer? Are it the already imported images that are not recognized or new imported images?
- Have you tried to reprocess the older, already imported raw files (Photos > Reprocess Original)? Can Aperture reprocess the raw?
Have you tried to reboot?
repaired permissions
How? With Disk Utility or with the Aperture library first aid tools? If you have not already done so, launch Aperture with the ⌥⌘-key combination held down and repair permission and database.
Can you import your RAWs into a new Aperture library?

Léonie

Jun 1, 2013 2:20 AM in response to macbassetaerieby Ivornikon,Hi, I'm now having the same problem with my Fuji X10 raw files since the latest update. Files that were already in my aperture library and were displaying as normal now show as unsupported. I've tried the usual reboot, the repair permissions and database but with no luck. It would appear that there is a problem with the latest update. I would hope that Apple recognises this and issues a fix.
Regards
Ivor.

Jun 1, 2013 2:47 AM in response to Ivornikonby léonie,And have you tried to reprocess your raw after the update?
(Photos > Reprocess Original)?
Does that work in this case?
I am astonished, that Aperture did recognize your Fuji X-10 files at all, previously. There is no Fuji X-10 on the list of supported cameras,
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5371
Fujifilm X20
Fujifilm X100S
Fujifilm X-E1
Fujifilm X-Pro1
Fujifilm FinePix S3Pro
Fujifilm FinePix S5Pro
Fujifilm FinePix S2Pro
Fujifilm FinePix X100

Jun 1, 2013 2:50 AM in response to léonieby Ivornikon,The X10 isn't on the list but I understand that the X20 was the same and it did work for me.

Jun 1, 2013 3:13 AM in response to Ivornikonby léonie,Ivor, I looked up both cameras - from the data I could find, the sensors of the X10 and X20 are slightly different; so both cameras should have different raw developement.
X10: 2/3 -inch" EXR-CMOS"
X20: 2/3-inch "X-Trans CMOS II"
But write back to Apple (Apple - Aperture - Feedback) and file a bug report, that the support for X10 stopped to work and you want it reenabled.

Jun 1, 2013 11:24 AM in response to léonieby macbassetaerie,Aperture will not reprocess the images because it does not recognise the format.
I've repaired permissions and the database within Aperture to no avail. So far, it's a no go.

Jun 1, 2013 12:07 PM in response to macbassetaerieby léonie,★HelpfulYesterday Aperture recognized RAW from my SL1; today it does not.
What did you do, between yesterday and today? What changed between the time it worked and stopped to work?
Try to reinstall yesterday's raw support update from the support page.

Jun 4, 2013 9:03 PM in response to léonieby macbassetaerie,I've been away at a photography workshop and have not been able to focus on this problem.
In response, as best I can tell nothing changed betweeen the time that RAW worked at the next day when it did not. I have reinstalled 4.0.6 RAW compatibility. I have multiple times repaired the database within Aperture. Now the RAW items that used to display the disclaimer are behaving differently. Some will load if I click on the black box. Some will not. None are displaying the disclaimer. I changed the camera settings to take RAW plus jpeg. When I loaded tha series, only the JPEGs appear in Aperture although the import appeared to include all photos.
I'm stymied at this point. I would like to try to redownload Aperture, but the APPStore will not allow it. In any case before I would do that I'd need to know how to reclaim my libraries after reinstalling.

If Aperture is installed, you cannot redownload it from the AppStore. Move it to the Trash, but do not empty the Trash, open the AppStore and sign in. If Aperture is not showing on the "Purchased" tab, reload the page with ⌘R. Now you should be able to reinstall Aperture, if you bought it originally from the AppStore.
But in this case, I think reinstalling the system would be more promissing. Tonight a new version of Mt. Lion has been released. Perhaps running the Software update will activate the new raw support again.
Some voodoo - I am not sure at all, if this can help in this case: With MacOS X 10.7.4 it sometimes helped to register the raw support for your camera with the launch services database - maybe this old problem has reoccured.
See this post by Alan Roseman:
Re: Aperture 3 preview of raw file greenish,
but read the follow up posts (the lsregister command: https://discussions.apple.com/message/18441898#18441898) as well, on how it is supposed to work and how to correct the typos (there are blanks in the commands that need to be removed)

Jun 5, 2013 4:28 PM in response to macbassetaerieby firstlaunch,Re: I changed the camera settings to take RAW plus jpeg. When I loaded tha series, only the JPEGs appear in Aperture although the import appeared to include all photos.
It sounds like you are importing RAW+JPEG with JPEG in front (default setting). Try selecting the JPEG in the browser and select Photos>Use RAW as Original. It will now place the RAW in front. See if the RAW file is drawn correctly after it's switched.
Once you update the DCRCU with some images previously not supported, you'll need to select the adjustment tab or reprocess the image...as some have mentioned...to trigger the image to load.
