Itunes is not launching automatically when iphone 5 connects to my PC

Itunes is not launching automatically with iphone 5 ever since I updated itunes software on my Windows 7 PC

I have read the discussions on this forum but I cannot find a fix.

I have uninstalled itunes and re-installed it but to no avail

I can still launch manually and my iphone shows up on devices.....BUT this really should not be happening.
