"Sent Mail" filled with "no recipient"

So for some reason, suddenly my "sent mail" folder on my iPhone is filled with emails that are titled as "no recipient." These emails consist of notes, calendar entries, stuff I've typed to website emails, all kinds of other random stuff too that I can't explain... and many of the emails are redundant, which concerns me because it's as if the email was sent out to multiple people.

I use a google mail account.

The settings are configured to NOT sync my notes with gmail.

The settings are configured to NOT sync my calendar with gmail.

The settings are configured to NOT save deleted messages in my "All Mail" folder.

I'm seeing all kinds of random stuff from years and years ago sent as emails multiple times to "no recipient."

Please help! I'm concerned that sensative information is being emailed to people, and that incorrect stuff is being emailed to people.

I do see the same problem when I check my email from a desktop computer, but the labeling is diferent. Instead of "no recipient," the recipient is labeled as "me."

It looks like Google had synched with an older iPhone of mine as a result of the iOS by defult turning the notes sync option on. When Google recently indexed those notes, for some reason they were sent to me as emails. I've noticed that none of the problem emails are recent, this is likely because I now always have that sync setting turned off.

I had no idea Google had been storing this information. Some people have suggested going into the "sent mail" and deleting the problem emails, but the google account has to have pulled that data from somewhere to have been able to send them in the first place. I'd prefer to delete that data from the source.

Any ideas on how to delete that data from Google? (Getting no help from Google so far).
