Does the iMac have a SD card reader? I am trying to use a SD card from a Panasonic 3mos video camera and it does not allow me to transfer the video to my MAC. Any sudgestions?

It depends on your iMac model. The "Late 2009" iMac (model identifier 10,1) was the first to come with an SD card slot built in. On my Mid 2010 iMac, it is located directly under the CD drive slot on the right edge of the case.
If you don't have a card slot, you can get an external USB card reader often for under US$20:

According to the specs for the iMac, it has a slot for SD cards in the back between the headphone jack and the USB jacks.

So you've connected your camera via usb or firewire and it wont transfer? The iMac does have a card reader it is located next to the usb/firewire/other ports.
