Mac mini support for Samsung Syncmaster 244T

I recently purchased a Mac mini 2.3GHz quad-core Intel Core i7 and wanted to connect it to a Samnsung Syncmaster 244T monitor. I connected it using theMini DisplayPort to DVI Adapter but it would not display. I also attempted to use the HDMI to DVI adapter included with the Mac but to no avail. Any recommendations?

Try resetting the Mac Mini's > NVRAM and PRAM

1. Shut down the computer.

2. Locate the following keys on the keyboard: Command, Option, P, and R. You will need to hold these keys down simultaneously in step 4.

3. Turn on the computer.

4. Press and hold the Command-Option-P-R keys. You must press this key combination before the gray screen appears.

5. Hold the keys down until the computer restarts and you hear the startup sound for the second time.

6. Release the keys.

Thanks. I tried but still am not able to get anything to display on the monitor. I decided to see if I could connect to my Sony TV via HDMI. The computer displayed immediately on the TV. I completed the setup as it was first time use and did an update on OS X as requested. I attempted again on the monitor but to no avail. When I select the test signal mode on the monitor it says that signal is good, so I don't believe it is a monitor issue as I can easily connect to 2 other Windows PCs with no issue.
