Q: Sampling from vinyl but the audio strength/volume is very low please advise.

I am sampling from vinyl on a Technics 1210 through a Behringer VMX200 mixer (Low, Mid and Highs are all set on 0 neutral as well as the gain) into a MOTU UltraLite mk3 which then feeds into my MacBook Pro.

I set up the right audio track, with stereo on and Inputs 3-4 and when I record the sound is recorded and can be heard when I play the recorded track back. However it lacks presence and power, furthermore the audiowaves you normally see on any audio track when recording and after recording are extremely faint.

What can I do to amplify the strength of the recording and why is it so low?
