I am an elementary music teachers and my students perform a lot, so I have a lot movies on my computer! I am trying to free up memory today, and have had good recommendations about how to do this with iMovie, but now I need to delete footage in iDVD. How do I do that, and will it affect the original footage, back in iMovie?

iMac, Mac OS X (10.6.8), also have iMovie and iDVD
If you delete the iDVD project file, xxxxx.dvdproj, it will not delete the source material, i.e. movie files, used in the project.
OT
But somehow, I can't seem to get the iDVD projects or movies deleted! Is there a trick to accomplishing this?
Find the iDVD project file on your hard drive and drag it to the Trash bin in the Dock. Do a Spotlight search for ".dvdproject" .
As for iMovie you should be able to delete the projects from within iMovie. I don't use iMovie so you should ask in the iMovie forum for specifics.
