Q: iPod 6.1.2 update

Hi, when i connect my ipod touch (with ios 4.3.5 instaled) to iTunes and click update it comes up with a message that says

"The iPod software update server could not be contacted

Make sure your network settings are correct and your network connection is active, or try again."

someone please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

p.s. i have tried again (multiple times)
