Q: I am having trouble with my iPhone calendars. When my wife adds events to her calendar they cloud over to my calendar but not vice versa. She sent a request to my email. When I tried to approve the request I got the message that I own the account.
I am having trouble with iPhone calendars with the cloud.
My wife can add an event on her calendar and it will add to my calendar but not vice versa.
She sent and I accepted the request to my email for access but when I put in my iCloud password it gave a warning that I own the account already.
So how can I cloud my calendar to my wife's phone if I am the primary on the iCloud account?

If you are both using the same Apple ID you will have the same iCloud Calendar on your devices.(And the same Contacts list, bookmarks and all other iCloud services). Notice that you may have more than one Calendar on your iPhone. Check how many Calendars you have. Open Calendar and tap on "Calendars" button on up left corner. Also check which Calendar is your default Calendar. Go to Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendars>scroll down to Calendars section and tap on "Default Calendar".
If you want to share only one Calendar you have to use a different Apple ID and then you will be able to create and share a calendar.
