Why does my I pad only charge when its off
Only charges when off so my i pad is always dead
iPad, iOS 6.1.3
what are you charging with? If via usb using a windows computer, that may the problem - the usb ports frequently don't provide enough power.
And if fully dead, how long does it take to recharge (keeping it off). If a very long time, you might try using a different cable or charger as a test. Otherwise the device may need attention at the Apple Store.
