rented movie will not play

I'm sorry to hear you are unable to play your rented movie.

Follow the steps below to report this issue to the iTunes Store:

How to report an issue with your iTunes Store, App Store, Mac App Store, or iBookstore purchase

1. Find the email receipt for your purchase.
2. Click Report a Problem under the app that is having the issue.
3. When prompted, enter the Apple ID and password you used to purchase the item, then click Report a Problem.
4. Click Report a Problem next to the item you are having an issue with.
5. From the Choose Problem dropdown menu, choose the appropriate issue.
6. Follow the onscreen instructions and—if prompted—type a description of the problem into the text field.
7. Click Submit to have your issue reviewed.

That's great, except it sometimes takes itunes 3 or 4 (or more!) days to send receipts, by which time my rental will have been long expired, and hopefully, the flu I have, which is the onyl reason I rented a movie on itunes in the first place! So, how do you report a problem immediately if you don't yet have an email receipt???

Agreed dina loiuse. I had to call apple support who asked me to pay 20.00 USD to get a support ticket opened.

I had the same problems.

There are two solutions...

a) Logout from iStore at Apple TV, Restart Apple TV, Login again

If this way won't work:

b) Restore to factory setting helps.

I rented a movie on iTunes. It started to play after about 5 minutes, no problem. Then after about 50 minutes, I went into Menu, by mistake while trying to pause the movie.... That's it.... cant get back to the movie afer that.

The movie was no where to be found. When i searched again and found the movie, it allowed me to rent it again - on selecting play option, it said movie already rented but not download and to 'download' it go into Menu>iTunes Store>Check for Rentals.

I do that and it just seems to go on endlesslu without anything happening.

Why cant i just play the movie again?

Rented movie at home. Gave plenty of time to fully download. Got on airplane and tried to play movie. Received error message, something like "cannot play movie". Arrived at destination, opened movie but did not receive error message. Didn't start movie because i want to watch movie on return trip, more than 24 hours from now. Why wouldn't it play before and now appears to play? Very frustrating,
