When downloading some CDs, each song is shown as a separate file. How can I place all of these into one file?

When downloading some CDs, each song is displayed in ITunes as a separate folder. Moreover, the file seems to always have an ID as, for example, Track 1 or Track 2, and so forth. How can I pull all of these files into one folder so that I can then ID the folder? Thank you.

Hello, dongifford.

I have experienced this as well. Usually it is something simple in the metadata that iTunes recognizes as different. Try selecting all the songs at once in that album and get info on multiple tracks. At that point you can mark them as part of a compilation. The article below walks you through this process.

Why aren't songs with the same album art grouped together?

Hope this helps,
