pages: business card/how to fill the other 9 windows once the model is completed?

I've designed a business card using Pages. I cannot get Pages to fill the other 9 windows with the original!

Interesting… What was your stumbling block?

There are several ways of achieving the same result, no need to drag individual fields, you can do the entire card in very quick order, with a minor tidy up after to position them. Helps if you have set up guides. Only takes a few minutes.

Avery's site and software are of course dedicated to this one task, but fairly useless for any real design.

Each card is composed of a number of separate elements—text boxes (or fields) and graphic objects. You do not have to "drag individual fields." After constructing the first card, Peter's first instruction in the linked to article, is to "Select all the Label/BCard and Menu > Arrange > Group"

Stated in more detail, that means Click on one element of the cart to select it, then command-click on each of the other elements to add it to the selection. When all are selected, Group the objects into a single object (Arrange > Group).

Now select the single grouped object, press and hold Option, and drag a copy into the top right space in the template.

Select both objects. Option drag down to row 2.

Select all four. Option drag down to rows 3 and 4

If you are using a 10 card template, select a row of two objects. Option drag down to row 5.

Yes, the dragging of individual fileds would be tedious. Fortunately, it's not required.

You can't drag cards from one window to another in Pages.

Why would dragging a card over erase another set of objects anyway? You would be constantly wiping out other objects on your page if that was the case.

You may be confusing what happens with placeholder content inside objects, such as text and images, with this which is a collection of objects.
