How can I create an ID card

Hello all,

Let me give you an idea of what I have and am trying to do. I have a roster of names and information regarding the individual (ie a checkbox grid for attended meetings/paperwork along with typed values for address, age, etc). This roster also includes their title as well as their direct manager. I have two identical spreadsheets, one from this year and the other from this year.

What I'm looking to do is create an ID card for each individual that will auto populate with the information from the spreadsheets, as well as a picture of the individual. Ideally, I'd like to have it be in the form of a drop down menu where I can just click on their name, and the template auto populates instead of having to create 40-50 different ID cards and scroll through until I find the one I'm looking for.

I've searched different forumlas but to no avail 😟 any suggestions?

I did a google search. I found a site called Brainstormidsupply.com that has a pages template for ID badges. But the sample only allows 8, and I'm not sure if it will allow editing.

I would recommend you try Avery (www.avery.com), and see if any of their templates match what you are looking for (they would relate to specific Avery paper products.

What it sounds like you want to do is a mail merge function (yeah, I know. Microsoft terms). Where you provide a list, and the information is populated and printed.

Wish I could be of more help, but I think your best bet would be using something from avery, then attaching a picture and laminating.

Yeah I saw a lot of similar things. Those would be perfect, but I'm keeping everything digital so there's no need to print :/

I've seen it done with raw data, creating a score card for numerical results of sales and am looking for an identical function. I just don't know how I would associate a photo with the cell list for the name.

Numbers does not manipulate Pictures the way you want. You can make a suggestion to Apple using the menu item "Numbers > Provide Numbers Feedback"
