Q: I have a brand new Imac went to connect my hp m1212nfp laser printer and am having problems with printing and scanning it keeps asking for admin privlidges

Can anyone tell me how to fix this situation.

Brand new Imac went to connect my hp m121nfp printer and have problems printing and scanning. No hp director and keeps asking me for administrator privledges

Forget about HP software, it's in your best interest to totally uninstall it and use the tools available in OS X. The best place to get started is:

Printing Overview OS X Lion and Printer and scanner software for Snow Leopard, Lion & Mountain Lion
