Missing the FaceTime icon on my iPhone 4
How do I download the FaceTime icon on my phone? I have FaceTime on, I checked my settings, but I can't fix the icon.
iPhone 4, iOS 6.1.3

Is restrictions settings on?
iOS: Understanding Restrictions (Parental Controls)
If active and don't know the passcode, you need to do a factory reset.
Hope this helps.

There is a FaceTime on iPhone and iTouch. I own a iPhone 5 and iTouch 4g.
Good for you, but you are wrong as I've already stated there is no icon on the iPhone.
Dued, your wrong once again......

Yeah...so what? All you copied / pasted simply shows what devices are compatibile with Facetime. Nowhere on that link does it say there is an app icon for Facetime on the iPhone. In fact, with regards to accessing FT from the iPhone it says:
iPhone 4 or later: You can place a FaceTime call using the following apps:
- Phone: While on a phone call, you can tap the FaceTime icon to invite the other party to a FaceTime call.
- Contacts: Tap the FaceTime icon to place a FaceTime call to the contact you are viewing.
As has already been explained more than once in this thread, to access FaceTime from the iPhone you get to it from within the Contacts or the Phone app.
So just accept the fact that you're providing inaccurate information and go away.
No. There is not. It only exists on the iPod Touch, not the iPhone.
Yes, those devices support FT but not all have a FT icon on the home screen. Once again, the iPhone does not have a FT icon on the home screen, which is the subject of this thread. On the iPhone, FT is accessed through contacts, as stated in the doc you referenced. Read your own links. If you really own an iPhone, look and you'll see it has no FT icon on the home screen.
TP is correct. I have just discovered that with my iPad and my sister in law's iPhone 4S
Your screenshot is of an iPod Touch.....do a screenshot of your iPhone 5 and you will see TP knows what he is talking about.

Mine disappeared too! For anyone saying there isn't an icon, there was until it disappeared.
There was no FaceTime app on the iPhone until Tuesday, 18 September 2013, or whenever you updated to iOS 7. It simply did not exist on the iPhone until iOS 7. You're responding to a pre-iOS 7 thread.
Easier said than done. I have to have WIFI and my iMac isn't sending data through the WIFI internet sharing that I set up. There's a whole bunch of problems with my apple products that I'm not very enthusiastic about.
Apparently, one of those "problems" is that you are delusional... There has NEVER been a facetime icon on the home page of an iPhone running anything lower than iOS 7. It was introduced as a separate app on the iPhone starting with iOS 7. Prior to that, it was accessed through contacts.
FaceTime icon just appears at IOS 7 on iphone and it depends on your carrier support
in other words i live in Kuwait and I have 2 sim's for 2 different suppliers , I put the first one and the icon didn't found but when I put the other one FaceTime icon appeared again but all of that just happened after updating to IOS 7
so I figured out there wasn't a problem just search for the supplier who support this service at your country and you will never face that problem again .
I too had this problem for a few months till I figured it out. If you once had FaceTime and now FaceTime has completely dissapeared from your setting, then you might want to try going to:
settings--->General----->Restriction---> and making to allow Camer and Facetime, ( turned ON) . By not allowing camera , it automatically turns off facetime. 😉
THANK YOU!!! That was the different answer I was looking for. It solved my problem. Everyone else just keeps spewing out that you the same unhelpful answers(ie: iOS 7 & up) but no one had a solution for if you met all requirements except you. THANK YOU!! I wish I knew how to give you the 10 points you deserve.
It's accessed through your contacts. As TP stated, there is not, and has never been a "facetime icon" on the iPhone.
