How do you get a full refund on an extremely bad App?

Apple direct to the developer and the developer says its Apple!!! Have I been ripped off?

Can anyone help get a refund. So far I have been trying for 3 days now and its not obvious how to get your money back. I will not name the App/product here but most purchasers are looking how to get a refund from Apple or the Developer.

Thank you in advance....

Apple directed you to the developer for support on resolving issues with the app, not likely for a refund. If you did not resolve the issue with the app, then relay that to Apple with a further request for a refund. However, all sales are considered final when you make the purchase, so Apple may not give you a refund. Apple sometimes gives a one-time refund, so you may also want to weigh if you ant to use that one-time possibility on this app, or perhaps something more expensive in the future.

Thanks Dah - Veed, this basically confirms that when you have created a balance on your account, spend and get a really substandard product that should not have been released you loose. In every country in the world shoppers have rights..... maybe Apple do not like customers 'rights'

I wonder how I would go about getting by Apple Account balance refunded and move away from the very restrictive Apple 'process'.

I give up........

Ah but not yet as I found this whilst looking at 'refund' related issues on the sidebar. Looks like sound advice even though I have followed this same process over last 3 days. Apple are great!!!! he he he (1st step in charm offensive!!).

Extract from another issue::

Hi - I just sent an email to Apple telling them an app from their store didnt work on my laptop, and Id like a refund. Less then 24 hours later they refunded my $9.99 with an appology...! They didnt ask for anything else. Follow this link - worked for me! http://gizmodo.com/5886683/how-to-get-a-refund-from-the-app-store
