mdworker[41403]: Unable to talk to lsboxd

My OS X 10.8.3 is very slow to respond to request send to the internet via Safari. The repons time for a you tube selction is around a minute.

Opera don't even respond to any request.

I am using a satellite connexion via Xplornet in Canada and a wi-fi connect to the DSL.

So the Wi-fi point at the the DSL for the DNS, and My computer look either at the Wi-fi or Open Dns

Looking at the console message I always have these messages

The log messages are not significant. Please answer as many of the following questions as you can.

  • Restart your router and your broadband device, if they're separate. Any change?
  • If possible, connect to your router with an Ethernet cable and turn off Wi-Fi. Any difference?
  • Are any other devices on the network, and if so, are they all slow at the same time?
  • If you can connect to more than one network, are they all slow?
  • Are all network applications slow, or only some? If only some, which ones?
  • Is networking always slow, or only sometimes?
  • Disconnect all other devices from the network. Any change?
  • Boot in safe mode and test. Any difference?

Hi Link,

I have proceed to all these test yesterday. The answer is the the only action that really help is the Safe mode boot.

There was no immediate resuls after this. I had to Restart while holding the star button for some second, until the light flash and Reset the PR. I did that 2-3 times. Finally, I shut down everything wait for a few minutes and restart the DSL the WI_FI and the Mac Pro.

Many of the Lauchpad Icons desapears.

I have also, before that, remove many preference related to the Network and I dowload a new version of Flash Player.

I am not sure, but I think that this new installation of Flash solve the problem. My Internet speed is now acceptable.

Good thing that we fallow the same procedure, and that the proble is fixe now.

Warn regards

Robert
