I am trying to add the ⛔ into my iBook, but when I double click the emoji icon in the special characters window, or click and drag, iBooks Author inserts a blank space. Why is this happening and how do I fix it?
I don't think it's possible. iBooks Author (and I think the iBookstore as well) does not yet support the emoji. You can use a graphic instead.
