When will Apple add a 'Blocking Phone Numbers' feature to iphone? This is a MAJOR lack - the inability to easily add numbers to a block list is very frustrating. I can't imagine they aren't working on this.
No one could know what Apple is will do anything unless they announce.
It's the carrier responsibility, some carrier offer blocking.
True blocking can only be done by the carrier.

Other phones block numbers without you having to go to the carrier to do it, in fact, most other phone have this feature. I suppose I was asking here for the sake of an Apple rep to explain if and when they were going to add this function to iphone. Thanks!
Other phones do not block, all they do is assign a silent ringtone.
Only carrier can do true blocking.
Other phones do not block calls. The call is still received by the phone, it's just ignored. That is, no ring or notification happens. You can approximate this with an iPhone by placing the phone number you wish to block in your Contacts and assigning a silent ringtone. That will do almost exactly what these other phones do, though it's a bit less straightforward than some. Only the cell carrier can actually block a number.

On the new IOS 7 you can block a number by going to settings ---> phone ---->then it will be under the call section and says block. Hope this helps!
