Q: ipad 2 Amazon instant video playback resumes every 5 min

I'm new to Amazon Instant Video. Every playback halts after 5-10 mins and i have to resume. I have DSL at 6 meg download and both my iphone 5 and Dell Studio PC both playback wirelessly flawlessly from Amazon so it's not the connection or Amazon servers. My Ipad is a model MC769LL/A wifi only running 6.1.3 os and has 7 GB available of 14 GB total. Any ideas how to fix????? Thansk

It may not be your Internet connection, but it is entirely possible it is your connection to your wireless router. Try some of the troubleshooting tips here: http://support.apple.com/kb/ts1398

No. "both my iphone 5 and Dell Studio PC both playback wirelessly flawlessly from Amazon so it's not the connection or Amazon servers." Also i've tried other wifi connections at different locations and the same thing. Playback halts and i have to reume after 5-10 min.

I didn't say anything about the connection to Amazon's servers. It's clearly an issue with YOUR IPAD CONNECTING TO WIFI. Have you tried the troubleshooting tips in the link I sent?

    Check.

    • Tap Settings > Wi-Fi and turn Wi-Fi off and then on again.
    • Verify that you are in range of your Wi-Fi router or base station.
    • Confirm that your Wi-Fi router and Cable/DSL modem are connected to power and turned on.
    • Check whether other devices (portable computers, for example) are able to connect to the Wi-Fi network and access the Internet.
    • Update your Wi-Fi router to the latest firmware.
      • For AirPort Base Stations, refer to this article for information about firmware updates. For third-party Wi-Fi routers, check the manufacturer's website for details on updating your firmware.
    • Restart your iOS device
      • Hold the On/Off button until "slide to power off" appears. Slide to power off your device. When it is off, press the On/Off button to turn it back on.
    • Is this what you're refering to? I've updated IOs, turned on/off, removed leather case, tried different routers,
    • What else does this say that i'm missing?

If you have really tried all those things - including resetting your iPad - then the only other thing I can tell you is take it to an Apple store and have them take a look. Maybe it's defective.

Resetting ipad? Do you mean power cycling?

When you say resetting what do you mean? That is not one of the steps in the article. Thanks

    From the article:

    • Restart your iOS device
      • Hold the On/Off button until "slide to power off" appears. Slide to power off your device. When it is off, press the On/Off button to turn it back on.
