Q: dual display connection?
Hi,
How can I connect a second display on my IMac?
On youtube they talk about a: mini display connector.
On my IMac 2012 the last one with CD drive I have not such a port!
The ports I do have, are:
4xusb
1x firewire
1x Thunderbolt
1x ethernet
But no mini display?
I would like to connect a second display via HDMI, but is that possible and how do I do that?

Mini DisplayPort and Thunderbolt are the same port, but Thunderbolt has got the ability to transfer data, audio and video. You can use Mini DisplayPort adaptors with that port without any problem, so if you want to connect an external display by HDMI, buy a Mini DisplayPort to HDMI adapter and a HDMI cable.
