I have MBP MAC 10.6.8 Mid 2010 model, This security update downloads properly but errors out with the message "2013 -002" updates failed due to unexpected resasons, anyone else seeing this, I am loged in as administrator and the update download fine"

Are you getting it fromSoftware Update? If you are try it from here

And install it while booted in Safe Boot. Shift key down at the startup chime--expect a much longer time to boot. Might as well repair Permissons while in SB before installing.
Also get the SHA1 hash on that page and verify that's what you're downloading. Open Terminal and enter
/usr/bin/openssl sha1
followed by a space and drag in the .dmg you get. Then compare the two.

May be Apple determined that this was a issue from their side and they pulled the security update
Nope, I just went there using the same link I posted above. Could be a server issue in your part of the world?
