Actually, I still have  battery issue... Clean install did not change anything at all. Even when my wifi is off, I lose a LOT of battery, with no apps in the background.. Apple should ear from us and release a fix now !

Also a note, something very weird, a person named Jerry emailed me from Apple, but the email doesnt contain any apple details, such as address, position, contacts etc?

He said he was told to give me a call after seeing my complaint on the forum, has anyone ever been contacted by an Apple representatives before? Or in this kind of situation?

My Mac Air is giving as much battery as my windows 7 laptop now.... no advantage using the mac air expect its really portable.....

    APPLE! please fix this problem!!!!

Again, you are not speaking to Apple hear. Use the feedback link I posted earlier.

    Happy computing

Actually, someone tried to contact me claiming from Applecare, do they do that? I thoguht apple does not respond to forums?

Or is it a fraud that tried to contact me?

I recieved a call from a Jerry today also about this thread saying he was from AppleCare and wanted to get details from me so their engineers could work on solving our issues. Unfortunatly at the time I was leaving the airport so he said he will call me back in a few days.

I have to admit i appreciate the fact that Apple keeps an eye on the forums and is willing to contact us personally to provide help and improve future updates. With that said, however; I do not appreciate being called out of the blue when I did not recieve an email notice or even a request to call me. I did not ask to be called.

I will update again when I talk to Jerry in a few days. In the meantime, the 2nd install seems to have helped, but is not fixed. I am now pulling 4hrs off of 80%

Hmm.... The person who contacted me was also Jerry, guess was not a fraud

I wish I was getting 4 hours of battery after this new update, its merely lasting 2:30 hours.....

Thats what mine was doing too. Try doing the reinstall a second time. It helped mine a bit and cant hurt to do anyway.

Had battery issues on 10.8.2(Lost about 600mAh capacity after shutdown), so I did a restore to 10.7.5, Battery life went back to normal. I just tried out 10.8.4 few days back, once again lost 200mAh after shutdown, so once again I'm back on 10.7.5. What a fiasco!!!! I've gained nothing, instead lost about 800mAh battery capacity in all

Still 6+ hours here under 10.8.4 on 2 MacBook Pros and 1 Air. So it's somehow isolated to a small amount of users. Wait till the others report from their conversations with Jerry.

    Cheers

    Anyone have a fix yet?

  • TacoLord187 Level 1 (0 points)

Hello again everyone. I just got off the phone with Jerry!

We went and ran some programs he sent over to gather info about my computer which i then sent over to him. He said he will be sending the information to the Apple engineers who will dig through it for issues/fixes.

If they find some specific thing on my computer than is causing the issue, they will call me back. They might send trial software, or just release an OSx update to fix everything across all devices. I will make sure to keep everyone updated on what I hear/learn/do towards fixing the issue!

Add me to the list.  Updated my Mid 2011 MB Air to 10.8.4 and my battery drasticlly dropped.  I am lucky if I see 2.5 hrs now.  I have sent feedback to Apple so we will see what happens.
