Does anyone know where I can find a mini displayport extension cable (male to female) that is about 50 foot long? I am trying to extend my MacBook Pro to a Cinema Display from one room to the next room.

Nothing above 1920x1080 over 45 feet, and you're beyond that on the extension only, what's the total distance going to be

The total distance is going to be about 50 feet so I'm hoping the resolution won't be much affected. The mini displayport extension cable Bob sent me states that it has 2560p x 1600p Display Reslotion. I'm hoping this is true. I'll check it out and see.

Cable resolution is a marketing gambit, all HDMI cables are theoretically capable of 2560x1600, whether you get that will depend on the length of the cable, 45 is the specified limit, but 50 is not so much more. Let us know how it works out for you.
This cable works great! Been using it for a week and so far no problem at all. The resolution is also higher than what I originally expected after reading your post.
