apple tv can't obtain date and time

I have rebooted every darn item I can, I've restarted, reconfigured and whatever else there is to do but I can't get my apple tv to get past trying to find the date and time. This apple tv has been set up and used on this same tv but I keep getting that it wasn't able to connect to netflix (even after using it for the last billion months) so I unplugged and plugged it back in. Got the home sharing screen, I try to set up the home sharing and enter the CORRECT information ie apple id and password and it tells me it's wrong, nope its right. IP address starts with DHCP as recomended and I have entered my correct router info and password, the router is within range. WTHeck nothing is working when this worked fine before.
