I lost a couple of large disk images of my camcorder, a Sony 1080i avchd structure.

My only backup is a PC import with .mt2s (avchd) files. I plan on shelling out the $50 for ClipWrap to rewrap these into .mov/importable files for FCPX. I was just going to re-wrap (vs transcode) to save disk space. I see no problem with this, but I am a noob to FCPX. Am I missing anything?

Thanks.

You might also try AVCCAM Restorer which will put the mts files back into an AVCHD folder structure so they can be imported into FCP.

No luck with AVCCAM. "A required file is missing..." Worth a shot.

ClipWrap works great for getting it into FCPX and QT. In QT, however, I can't reliably export to iTunes for sharing with the AppleTV (3rd gen) from QT.

Not sure if this is the right place for this follow up, maybe AppleTV, but when I export from FCPX or QT to AppleTV/iTunes, I get an error that the content needs HDCP cable. Never run across this before.
