24-inch Cinema Display Firmware Update not available in support download

Hi, 24-inch Cinema Display Firmware Update not available in apple support download.

My screen is doing the whole intermittand flicker and need to try download the firmware to

see if this will solve the problem.

Can anyone direct me to where i can actually download the firmware for the display as every link

i followed thus far to the update just give me the "sorry no such download available"

24 inch cinema display and on OS system 10.6.8

I appreciate this is an old thread, but I just got a second 24" Display and thought I would check it had up to date firmware. On opening it I get a warning - "This certificate has an invalid issuer". Can anyone point me to an official version?

Checking the address of the link, it seems to be Apple, so I decided to try installing, but after going through the setup I got a warning that this update was not compatible with my version of MacOS and it could damage my system, so I aborted.

Any idea how to update this monitor, short of finding someone running really old MacOS?

Hi Malcolm, this is not it, link is for isight camera fix for system 10.6.2.

What i need is the dmg file for the Flickering/black screen issue on the 24 inch cinema display.

Apple support or mac update takes you to the link, on download it states it is not available this is the link not working to download.

Hello, Ertjie.

The link titled Download the 24-inch LED Cinema Display Update from the kb/TS4045 article worked for me when I tried it today. Click the "Download" link I post here or try the one in the kb article again. Perhaps it will work for you now?

However, I note that the kb article expressly states that this firmware update:

...is only intended for use with and will only install on the Apple 24-inch LED Cinema Display while the display is connected to a Thunderbolt-enabled Mac. (EZ Jim emphasis added)

If your Mac is really using Mac OS X (10.6.8) as shown in your initial topic posting, your Mac may not be Thunderbolt-enabled. If so, contact Apple or your Apple-Authorized Service Provider for help.
