    Sign in in System Preferences (or Settings)>iCloud with your Apple ID (Lion 10.7.5 or iOS5/6 required).

     

    Enable Mail in the list there. You will be asked to create an @icloud.com address.

     

    To send a message: go to your Mail application and choose the iCloud account when sending.

     

    Or go to http://icloud.com , go to the Mail page, and click the New Message icon in the toolbar:
