Jun 6, 2013 1:04 PM in response to Tachyon IIby Tachyon II,Running on Windows 7; status window within itunes reads step 3 of 3, syncing music to touch, copying files. Shortly thereafter itunes freezes up. I have to use Window Task Manager to end it. window appears "ipod is being synced" which it is not "If you quit now, the sync will be cancelled, want to quit?" I know the sync has been unsuccessful b/c the status window stops at 6 of 2245 files copied. Checking the touch after shows no files.
Also, another window has appeared "itunes could not back up the ipod touch b/c the backup session failed."

Jun 6, 2013 2:25 PM in response to Tachyon IIby Tachyon II,I tried your suggestion "iTunes for Windows 7 troubleshooting unexpected..." starting iTunes in safe mode. Went through sync process again. iTunes started copying files to touch however along the way this iTune window appeared "attempting to copy to the disk "ipod touch" failed. The device timed out.
The status bar along the top of iTunes reads "iTunes status syncing iPod touch finishing sync" At this point the itunes software program freezes; status bar frozen, no response at all - have to stop run in Windows Task Manager.
Any clue whether this is iTunes or iOS issue? If it's hinting at iTunes, can I not uninstall itunes (except the library) & reinstall a newer version of iTunes?

Jun 9, 2013 11:57 AM in response to Tachyon IIby AirForceDelta46,I've been looking all over the internet and found the solution!! I know this might suck, but delete ALL downloaded apps from your iPod, including iBooks. I mean, ALL or it won't work. After you do this, sync with iTunes and your apps should redownload and sync!! If not, just redownload them. This should work!!
