I purchased Blade Runner - The Final Cut - Apple TV is French, computer version is English

I purchased Blade Runner - The Final Cut. On my desktop PC when played it is in English and shows that it is the English version. However, when I try to play this movie on my AppleTV it will only play in French and it is displayed as the French version in the details. I know I purchased the English version of this movie. Why would it do this?

Blade Runner - The Final Cut version is no longer offered on iTunes.

Hi applemescott!

I believe what is happening here is that your Apple TV is set to playback your movies with the French alternative audio track (if available.) There is an article here about where to find that setting and change it:

Hi Braden. I have the same issue and have reported it to apple. Identical glitch: blade runner is English on my Mac, but French when streaming from the net on Apple TV. Playback language settings have been verified to be English multiple times. I would prefer not to use airplay to play the movie. The is not user error, since so many iTunes customers have reported the same problem with blade runner. After reporting the issue apple reps said to check playback settings. I have gone further and reset my device entirely. Still in French! The version on my Mac and ipad is English, so this is strange indeed. Very disappointing to not have my favorite film available in English on my TV without needing to airplay share it.
