What Mac uses Crucial CT51264BC1067.16FR 4GB 2014-PIN SODIMM 512Mx64 DDR memory?

What Mac uses this Crucial memory?:

CT51264BC1067.16FR

4GB 2014-PIN SODIMM 512Mx64 DDR

I have 2 sticks of it in my box and can't figure out what Mac model uses it. Can't find an answer on Crucial or through a web search.

This is the closest I have been able to come.

CT51264BC1067.16FR

4GB Crucial PC3-8500 204-PIN 512Mx64 SO-DIMM DDR3 1066Mhz

It is notebook memory, Apple MacBook Pro, the specs above work in the following models.

MacBook Pro 17" Mid 2010

MacBook Pro 15" Mid 2010

MacBook Pro 13" Mid 2010

MacBook Pro 17" Mid 2009

MacBook Pro 15" Mid 2009 (also the 2.53 ghz model)

MacBook Pro 13" Mid 2009

MacBook Pro 17" Early 2009

MacBook Pro 15" Late 2008 <<< very likely this one when part # was released.

The above machines have 2 slots and can hold 2 -4GB RAM for 8GB total.

I researched the machines on Crucial for the part numbers and none match, no reference to CT51264BC1067.16FR

However I have been able to determine that CT51264BC1067.16FR represents a code, CT likely for Crucial Technologies, 512 x 64, BC?? 1067 is perhaps the speed

So since now Crucial uses something non descriptive like CT345086034 for their part numbers which would mean they switched their system sometime in the past, which would lead me to believe it's one of the earlier models very likely the MBP 15" Late 2008 when this particular part number was used. However it might work just fine in the other Mac's listed.

This is a picture of the RAM for a MacBook Pro.

Ok, this is the situation about the different labeling and why one can't find that generic part number on Crucial.com

The two codes do refer to the same part. The part number with CT followed by six numbers (CT434026) is the part number specific to your machine for referencing purposes on our database, and the other number is our generic part number which actually appears on the label.

So one goes by the specifications which there is a lack of details for your RAM.

However if you know that RAM you have belongs to a Mac then it likely goes in one of the models I've listed above.

Wouldn't that be DDR2 Ram, the OP said DDR?

DDR3 SODIMM has 204 pins not "2014"

I've compiled from three different sources with that CT label and it's all DDR3 and 204 pin.

  • Package: 204-pin SODIMM
  • Feature: DDR3 PC3-8500
  • Specs: DDR3 PC3-8500 • CL=7 • Unbuffered • NON-ECC • DDR3-1066 • 1.35V • 512Meg x 64 • lead free • halogen free • for Mac

Seems more Mac's can also take it

Mini Server Mid 2010

Mac Mini 2010

Mini/Server Late 2009

Mini Early 2009
