Jun 6, 2013 6:27 PM in response to CaliGirl1107by ComputerFixer,How full is the storage on the iPod, nearly packed full? or relatively empty... A very full device, even if perfectly new out of the box, will act very slow.

Jun 6, 2013 6:37 PM in response to CaliGirl1107by ComputerFixer,Woah, red flag... a 6.4GB iPod Touch 4? i would definately take that to the apple store, as the iPod Touch 4 only shipped in 16 or 32.

Jun 6, 2013 6:53 PM in response to stedman1by ComputerFixer,Oh, okay, Thanks Stedman1, wasn't aware of that. Well as for the question of why yours is so painfully slow, i still would take it to the apple store and have it examined. At that speed, that is definately abnormal behavior, and could be caused by a number of things, ranging anywhere from having too many apps running all at once, all the way to having a hardware malfunction causing I/O errors, thus slowing down the device.
Hope you get it fixed, let me know what happens!
Cheers!

Jun 6, 2013 7:08 PM in response to orchdork101by stevejobsfan0123,There is no such thing.
Apple just released a 16GB model last Thursday, but there is not, nor has there ever been, an iPod touch advertised as 6GB.

Jun 7, 2013 5:44 AM in response to orchdork101by lllaass,The 8 GB iPod only has about 6.4 GB available to the user. The difference from 8 GB is taken up by the operating system and of how GBs is advertised and reported.
