Why isn't my iPod Touch 4th Gen working with my bluetooth audio reciever

So I just got a Bluetooth audo reviever and just started using it with my iPod. When I start it up it works, but when I skip some songs it stops playing the music. I check to see if my Bluetooth is still on and they both are on. I check the volume, and everything else. Everything is working, but it still doesn't play the music. I have to shut off the audio reciever and turn it back on, and it does it over and over again. Anyone know what may be wrong? Is it the Bluetooth on my iPod? Oh and the audio reciever works with other devices.

iPod touch, iOS 6.1.3

Try:

iOS: Third-party Bluetooth headsets, headphones, and keyboards

Wireless input devices: Bluetooth frequently asked questions

- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost

Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at

least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

- Reset the BT receiver

- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings

- Restore from backup. See:

iOS: How to back up

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.

If still problem make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store . Brinbg the BT reciever too.
