Why's my 4s iPhone not work any longer just because I'm ready for the upgrade for a hundred bucks

Well my phones been junk for a month now. talk text don't work,crashes, slow,can't run three programs at once. Have had to hard reset it Can't count how many times. It's junk now. Now I get all kinds of reminders it's time to upgrade now,to buy a new one.

I refuse.

iPhone 4S, iOS 6.0.1
